Little ones learn they have much to thank God for when spring arrives—bunnies, flowers, and Easter eggs are fun, but the best of all is Jesus!

Preschoolers can't help but notice all the new wonders of springtime, and An Easter Prayer emphasizes that God is the One to thank! Sweet rhymes and adorable art are perfect for young listeners, who will ask to read this colorful, die-cut board book even when spring is long past.

Families will want to collect all the titles in the Time to Pray series, including A Pumpkin Prayer and An "I Love You" Prayer.

Meets national education standards.

Parker (A Night Night Prayer) uses the seasonal symbols of spring (bunnies, chicks, eggs) to make the point that the season of new and renewed life is the time of God’s blessings. The board book’s rhyming prayer is tailor-made for read-alouds: “Thank you, God, for Easter and the brand-new life of spring!/ For sunny rays that warm the earth to turn the whole world green.” Edgson’s (Yuck! That’s Not a Monster) pastel palette makes the baby animals and their spring setting lively and soothing; a yellow chick in purple polka-dotted rain boots is especially eye-catching. The religious message is generic enough to work for a variety of Christian believers. Grandparents looking for a gift for grandchildren will be pleased. Up to age 5.
